No more carousel pics

Have people stopped posting pics? Has the forum stopped posting the carousel?

Sure seems that the forum has gone through a lot of changes lately. A lot of folks don't even come around here anymore?

Did I miss something that happened to cause this or is this just a faze?

I have been on a lot, but when you are pretty restricted on what you can do...the forums and internet make ups up the time.

But definitely have had busy times where im off the grid, I totally get that.

From time to time the carousel will go away for a short time. Probably has something to do with updating the site. I'm sure it will be back soon.

The general membership doesn't/can't post pics directly to the Carousel, the Mods/Staff choose what they think is worthy.

It was going the other day and there were some pics, and the Throwdown was in there also.

They are probably just busy with the throwdown finish and then will get back to the rotating picture strip. Or in this case Carousal , lol

That is just my view of why it is down for a couple days , it was doing 2 days before the final days of voting.

Man I didn't mean to cause any confusion. I've just always heard other members refer to the rotation of great BBQ pics on the home page as the "Carousel". I've always seen it as an honor to get one of your pics on the carousel & I'm glad it's back and BOOM we get to see an awesome pic of a beautiful brisket.

And any remarks about membership participation (or lack of) weren't directed to any specific members but an observation that there are literally dozens of members who used to come and post great meat & BBQ pics but don't any longer. We all get busy, I'm no different and so is life and I do get that part.

I've always enjoyed reading post by other who enjoy cook outdoors and the pics they post. We can't control who comes and goes but we can fire up our cookers and cook. I promise to do my part this summer (and I will post a few pics along the way )

It's been working. The feature items time out and you have to remember we all have jobs and a life and sometimes we forget to keep up with it.
