Field corn...AKA Silo corn, only good for livestock....If you have ever eaten field corn you know what I mean. Not good for eating not good for shine. The first 50 or so rows of corn are field corn planted around sweet corn, this way passers by say hey lets pick some sweet corn...HA

I know all about the field corn, I learned the hard way. When we were teens, we used to hit the fields on the way to hunting or fishing trips to grab a cooler full, it was nasty stuff. One of the farmers caught us one day, and said if you want sweet corn, you need to go at least 10 rows in. He then said he won't shoot rock salt at anybody until they reach the ninth row. But then said if you want corn, just drive down the driveway and ask, which is what we did from then on. We always brought him a cold case of Bud long necks and a roll of Copenhagen, which was cheap back then, and he LOADED us up.

That's how they used to hide tobacco crops, too. Yes, "that" kind of tobacco.
