Weather was too cold, windy and it was dark so I wanted to try more in the new Ninja. Started with a ribeye from the last sale @$4.99/lb just added SPOG

into the ninja on grill for a very quick ride.

With all the discussion about the Glory brand collard greens, I had to hunt down a can. I kicked them up with bacon, onions and my pickled habs (adding some of the vinegar brine as well (thanks Keith 912smoker 912smoker ).

All plated up with mashed cauliflower. The steak was tender and tasted great, I absolutely loved the greens and am glad I bought a few more cans as well as the turnip greens.
Overall a very tasty meal.

Good looking steak. I've started mixing cream cheese into my mashed cauliflower (along with cheddar and chives and bacon and butter).

I can't stand cream cheese on it's own but it works well in a lot of keto dishes.

I put right at 10 lbs of ribeyes into the freezer this weekend, and we ate another 2 lbs. Publix has the roasts -damn nice ones too- for 5.99 lb. I turn the skimpy bones into stock and slice 'em into steaks. So glad I got a vacuum dohickey.

Between the 3.99 chucks (food lion) and the ribeyes I blew the December meat budget in one weekend.

We add chive cream cheese too and pf course butter., love it. Our Ribeye sale starts tomorrow, $4.79 for choice and $5.49 for Angus. last sale in the early spring I was able to get 38lbs over a few trips. Tons of steaks and beef ribs.

Looks great Cliff. That Steak is perfectly cooked. I haven't tried Steak in the Ninja yet, definitely going to soon. Great job.

Great looking meal! I don't think I've seen ribeye anywhere near that cheap around here in a long time. I have my own beef processed, but I still pay attention to what it's selling for in the stores.

Thanks Mike, I was surprised how fast it cooked and how tender it was.

Yeah not getting any beef processed here in lower NY...lol they run these sale before Easter and Xmas. I hope to load up with 20+ pounds this week.

I have no problem with that, I will probably end up somewhere down there when I can escape NY.
Not sure i will make it as far down as you Keith. For some reason my wife ha Bluffton, SC on her mind now.....

Some great looking eats there Clif, steak's done just to my liking! I've gotten to be a big fan of a cauliflower-turnip mash too, not much experience with collard greens. RAY

Thanks Ray, I need to try adding the turnip to the mashed. I have enough experience making fresh collard greens not to do it anymore..lol

Cliff, that's a great looking ribeye for any price. Very nice marbling. And Bearcarver Bearcarver would be proud of your Ninja skills...

Bluffton is a nice area and growing rapidly. Plenty to do and the big city of Savannah is close by. Another area nearby that's a little more laid back is Beaufort. Lots of history and southern charm in low country...

Seems prices there are rivaling Long Island. We have one friend that spent 900K on a house and another friends parents just dropped 2.3 mil on one.
