Nine Years Ago Today I lost Dear Friend

Nine years ago we lost the MAN and I lost a friend . He died on the last lap of the race he so loved . RIP .

This might be a little messed up but I didn't get into racing until that happened. With everything that happened and all the press it got me interested.

last Daytona party I ever hosted, not that I loved him, being a ford guy and all but I had to call several friends who were big fans of his who had just left my house in disgust after the wreck and tell them while they were driving home.

Most people are just like you . I also kept track of Bill Elliott back in his glory days as a frined of mine really like him . Earnhardt was someone I knew in real life before he got so big and famous , back when he was just was driving a dirt car . I was young gun working on some guys in AHRA & NHRA pro stocks . Ran across Earnhardt broken down on the side of the road , race car in tow on a cheap home trailer !
