hey guys I’m a welder and fabricator. In the trade for 15 years. I love it!! Love me some Jesus too, ex junki and alcoholic, 4 years clean may 22. Family guy now! I am building a offset RF smoker and I’m using 20” OD pipe for both CC and FB. I need help with the CC/FB opening. CC is 31” I have used the tutorial from DAVeOmack. My measurements do not look like a football. Can someone help

Hey lance! Way to go bud. It’s sounds like someone changed your life! He changed mine too.
Dave helped me with my firebox opening too although mine is a off set side firebox traditional flow.
I do know that you’ll want a fairly large opening there. Here’s a pic of mine. I have a deflector plate between firebox and cook chamber to help push heat and smoke down.

I designed it with help from aaron franklins book and had the local high school welding class fabricate it up for me for free. Came out nice.
