Hi Everyone,

Just joined the forum. My wife bought me my first smoker for my birthday (I have a masterbuilt 30 inch Bluetooth from lowes). Looking to smoke my first brisket this weekend. Have been reading all the great info on this site and it seems like I will be having a lot of fun with this new hobby!

Congratulations on your new smoker, and welcome to the forum. It is allot of fun and very addicting. There are a ton of people using a MES so info is easily attainable.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a cloudy and warm day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.

Here are the results. Started with 4lb first cut angus flat brisket rubbed with very light coat of mustard then salt pepper garlic and some sweet rub o mine rub. Smoked with oak chips at 215* took about 10hours maybe could have increased temp next time. Wrapped in bucher paper at 160* increased temp to 275* to finish it off at IT of 205ish. Had to rush at the end to beat the rain. We all enjoyed it tasted really good.
If you guys have any tips would love to learn something new. Thanks for the warm welcome!
