Just wanted to say hi to everyone and introduce myself. I'm from the south west suburbs of the Chicagoland area.  I was given a smoker for fathers day this year.  I own the GOSM Big Block and i'm loving it.  So far i have only made spare ribs but will hopefully try other meats before the chicago winter arrives.  Well thats all for now.

Now there are alot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.

Don't let winter stop you!

My Big Block GOSM gets in a smoke or two in the winter. And I plow snow for the state of Vermont. Busy times! Just have to get a windbreak around it and watch the temp. And NEVER trust the thermometer on the door!

Good luck and welcome to the SMF Family

Cheers!

I'm with Monty the winter doesn't slow down the smoking. At least not at my house and we get some really cold winters here in ND/MN. I actually smoke more in the winter since summer is always a busy time always coming and going. Welcome to the SMF you will learn a ton here.
