Good Afternoon Everyone

I am Fletch and I am a newbie to smoking, found the forum a couple of weeks ago through Jeff's website, and have been on it everyday picking up advice. I have a Bradley smoker and only tried smoking fish and some prawns. Can't wait to get trying some of your ideas.

Thanks
Fletch

Welcome to the forums Fletch, happy to have ya join the fun.

Welcome, what is your favorite fish to smoke?
Hi Bradger

Only been smoking a month or so, haven't tried anything to fancy yet just getting used to the smoker. I have cold smoked cod and Haddock, and hot smoked Mackerel and Prawns. Everything has turned out good, but experimenting with some of recipes on here is a must. The prawns with Jeffs rub on were amazing! Luckily I get a good supply of Seafood (free), so looking to do some lobster tails at the weekend, then Monkfish and Scallops. Once i get a few successes with fish will move onto other meats, as you have all got some amazing recipes on here. The tips I have already picked up of the forum has been a great help and I cant thank you all enough.

All the best
Fletch

Welcome. Feel free to discuss anything smoking or Scotch related. Or anything else really, but those two are delicious.

Hi Guys
Only been on a few days and you have all given me a bit of inspiration on smoking managed to acquire these this morning :emoji_wink:. Going to follow Jeffs recipe wrapped in Bacon will give you all an update how they turn out, any tips or advice before I do them tomorrow?

Fletch,

I am guessing that these are scallops, as the picture is a bit wonky.

If so here is Jeff's recipe for bacon wrapped scallops from his newsletter.

Well worth signing up for it as he sends out recipes every week.

I managed to do Jeff's Shrimps/prawns last weekend and they came out amazing. Will let you know how I get on and try and remember to take some photo, hope you all have a good weekend and plenty of smoking
