Newbie from MT via PA

Hello, my name is Robyn and I currently reside in Montana (although I'm originally from the greater Philadelphia region). I'm completely new to smoking but have been lurking here for sometime. I'm in the market for an electric smoker and was hoping some of you good folks could help steer me in the right direction. Thank you for the warm welcome! :)

Robyn welcome to SMF their are lots of friendly helpful people on here.

For the electric I have a MES 40 from Sams with the legs and blue tooth, I haven't used it enough to say if it is as good as some say.

Tropics! Thank you. Super helpful links!! I really appreciate it.  At least now I feel way more comfortable with what Gen units I'm looking at. However I'm still not sure which one to get. This is what I'm looking at....any thoughts?

This is what I have and I got the extended warranty,this is the newest.The legs make it easier less bending
