Hello, I'm currently a student in a welding program after working in various manufacturing plants and as a structural steel welder I decided that I needed to further my education. That being said I have had a lot of experience fabricating and nearing 7 years of welding background. The school side has been very interesting learning the theories of the processes and being able to understand them in real life situations that I have encountered and helped me to better myself as a fabricator.

The reason behind me joining this forum is because I have always had an interest in smokers and owned a few small offsets and have a once in a lifetime opportunity to build my own smoker. A class I am currently taking requires me to design and build a project; therefore, I have designed my own 500 gal LP tank offset smoker trailer. I have always wanted a large smoker and figured that I would never have an opportunity to use anywhere near the equipment and space that I have in my schools shop, that being said I wanted "to go big or go home".

The design I wanted to go with is the standard offset, I based my designed around this smoker with a few personal changes.

I joined this forum kind of late and am current about 27hrs into my build. I figured that I would share my build with you all since this forum has helped me with multiple ideas on my project.

Thank you all very much! This is my progress so far.
