Newbie from AZ

My name is Geoff and I am new to the BBQ/Smoking world. I just received a new Charbroil American Gourmet 700 for Christmas. This is my first non-propane grill. I bought it with the intent of smoking a variety of different meats for myself and my family. I haven't narrowed it down yet and am keeping an open mind to everything, especially since I have no experience with this.

I am originally from Pennsylvania but moved to AZ in 2007 to escape the cold weather. Have more months of warm weather allows for more outdoor activities, and smoking meat seemed like a good one to get into (especially since I like to eat). 

Besides that, I am an avid sports fan who love football, basketball, and baseball. When I am not watching sports, I spend my time reading, playing on my computers, working on my schoolwork, or playing console video games. I am married and have no children (except the four legged kind). Beyond that, I am kinda boring. :-)
