I love smoked meat and fish but tired of waiting on others to smoke and invite me! So, here I am going to venture into a new world of learning and appreciating the skill it takes to have great food to eat! I am located in Indiana, not known for BBQ but as a retired sailor I have had the chance to taste various BBQ and smoked meat around the nation and know what I want to achieve.

I do not have a smoker yet, but have been reading this forum to gain knowledge as to where to start. I am thinking about a Brinkman Gourmet as my first smoker, just in case I do not like the work. Highly unlikely but never know might burn my house down and my wife will say that is enough.

So I look forward to learning and sharing the good bad and ugly of my journey
