Evening gang. First butt. Thanks for the tips.

dry brined forn2 days with kosher salt and then 1 day and night with dry rub.

250 at 0830 till 1730 and wrapped till 1930.

came out great. Now hooked.

Looks good. My first smoke was a pork shoulder. Still today it’s my favorite thing to smoke. Easy, lots of flavor and tons of meat to use for whatever. Were hooked on quesadillas with frozen leftovers now. It you want to try something new look for a post about jjs finishing sauce. I’ve used it the last few years and it’s a big hit. I call it my secret weapon. Just mix it in after I pull it all apart

@zwiller HAH! I've put a few items in the trash as well over the years.

Nice one Blue. I too recently did my first pork butt - it will now join the rotation for sure. Your's looks great. very nice.
