Just had to show off the new toys I found today. Hoping next weekend I will get to try them out.

Nice! I've never seen that stuff before. Gonna use it on the "general", as you call "it". (still miffed at no pics on weekend smoke!)

I got me a slicer from wife & kids for b-day and used it on tri-tip(figured that is why they bought it for me). Like it, not the best, but I get to eat what doesn't slice "right". Gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Off subject, but I'd like to see pics of the general, oops, I mean General.

Well Big Al go to wood smokers and look under the post My Wood Burner and you will see the Ol General

Now I knew when I clicked this thread it'd have to be something special if you were using it Marvin! Really nice! Where'd you find that bisket pan? That'll make some great cornbread! Great cornbread needs cast iron!

Debi we found that bisket pan at the Army Navy store. They carry a lot of cast iron cook ware. The next item on my list is a big dutch oven and they have it also.

Really! I'm going to have to find an Army Navy store someplace. I love cast iron cookware.

Rub some raw bacon around that thing and throw in some crunched up bacon pieces cook it up, smoothered in boiled butter beans and there's nothing better in cornbread! I can make meal just with that!

Carl -

The weird thing about butter beans is ... their actually good for you!

I like em best just boiled down with a bit of salt, pepper and bacon until they get thick like chilli or something then poured over a hot hunk of crispy corn bread!

Yummmmmm

OF course I'm the only one in the house that likes them - I should've been born a southerner!
