New to the smoke, even newer to the fatty w/ Q-view

When I first came across the fatty on this site, I knew I would one day have to smoke one.  Today was that day!

MY fiancee had her bridal shower today, so my soon to be brother-in-law came by for some beer, football and we smoked some Beef Spares, can in the butt chicken and 2 fatties.

I was so excited, I forgot to take pics of the prep/before, but here is the q-view  Smoker was a bit tight, but make it

work.

Sorry the iPhone camera is not very good, next time I will use a better camera

Just cheddar in the bacon wrapped one, and cheddar and french fries(steak cut) in the other.  Figured I would keep it simple, then start experimenting with them.  I thought the fries might get soggy, but they actually turn out ok.

I love can in the butt chicken. it turns out so juicy.

had the bacon wrapped one to close to the opening from the firebox and burnt one side,  I did a quick rearrange and everything turned out fine.  well edible, the dogs even enjoyed it, and they now have spare rib bone to chew on for a week.
