New to the site

Hello all My name is John im from a little bit of everywhere but mostly Texas and Mississippi which is where i reside currently. I've never owned a smoker but have done my fair share with a charcoal.grill lol. Im 24 and currently work in an automotive shop. In the process of starting my very first smoker build with some barrels i got from my job. I would like to do a simple double barrel build in my opinion it looked somewhat simple and within my fabricating ability.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

Take a look in the UDS build section. You might like it and it is pretty easy.

Thank you for your reply, i've used the search bar til my phone died lol. I've been doing some scoping and I think instead of the double barrel as my first im going to try a more basic on just to get my feet wet then move forward from there. I love lookin at the pics of all the Q lol.
