Metrowest Boston , ma.
hambone1950 here...(.thats the year i was born) i live in the suburbs of boston and ive grilled all my adult life , but im a novice smoker. i had a brinkmann cheapie smoker which was pure aggravation to cook on , but my sweet wife just bought me a WSM for my birthday and it is perfection. i could not believe how well it performed. i smoked a boston butt as a trial run and that smoker cooked at 250 for 8 solid hours without any tweaking at all.   i am so looking forward to cooking all kinds of stuff this summer and fall. im doing a whole chicken tomorrow night and in the near future i plan to do ribs and then (drumroll) BRISKET!  i will be checking into this forum to get ideas and tips. look forward to chatting with all you veteran smokers. And to you smokers who are veterans....thank you for your service!
