New To Smoking

Hello, I am about to buy my first smoke for family use, I would prefer either gas or charcoal...but there are so many on the market that need a lot modifications.
I would like to buy one that is under $ 250.00 that is either charcoal or gas, that will get great results without lots of modifications. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. Thanx

Welcome to the site!  I am a huge fan of the Weber Smokey Mountain, bit it sells for $299 unless you catch a deal.  I have had my 18.5 for over two years now with no mods.  Couldn't be happier!
