Hello to all,

This by far is the best SMOKIN' site I have found yet!!!

I have had a 6' home made 1/4" plate smoker for about 10 years now. Mostly brisket.

The top has warped, can't keep in the heat, not really enjoying it anymore.

The wife bought a 1957 6' upright deep freeze for $10  at a garage sale. She told me she loved me and for me to enjoy making a NEW smoker!!!!  It's just like Christmas for me.

I have been on this site for the past 72 hours, just dreaming of converting it to my smoker...all the food!!! MMMMMM!!

Well.,..going to the homemade smoker section to get wound up some more. I'll keep ya'll posted on the conversion and my upcomming smoking!!!

Semper Fi!!

I'm not a Marine but I really thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart, for protecting Our Great Nation!!!

Welcome to the SMF. Glad to have you here. Lots of good folks, great recipes and knowledge. Looking forward to your first qview.
