Hello. New guy from CT. I'm starting a new project this week. Primarily for smoking whole pigs. I have a 60" x 44" x 27" tank. Was planning on laying it flat on a trailer. RF with a 24" square Fire box. I used Feldons cAlculator for everything.
I was thinking 1/4" double wall for the firebox. Filled with sand. Any opinions on this?

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a sunny and nice day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Thank you for the welcomes. Question time. I have everything designed so far, but one thing holding me up is the chimney depth. What are people's opinions on how low into the cook chamber should I place the chimney?
