New to all this...

So after being on the fence for awhile now, I’m ready to get my first smoker.

I’m leaning towards the Masterbuilt MES145S.
Any advice, pros and cons on this would be super helpful

Welcome to SMF from Indiana! There are plenty of which smoker posts here on SMF and depending on what is being asked quite a few options including info on MES units. One thing, they are by design, to be used with wood chips and will require feeding about every hour. Many here that use the MES have modified their unit to use the Amazen Pellet Tray which eliminates feeding since it will provide up to 12 hours of smoke. It's called the mailbox mod. Try a search on it.

I think a lot of folks just use the tray or tube right inside their MES, but the mailbox is an option and kind of fun.
Think we'll ever get any decent weather here schlotz?

As they say stick around it’ll change. At least it’s supposed to be in the mid 60s tomorrow.
