Hey guys,
So I have been doing a lot of smoking lately and being bad with not taking enough pictures so mostly I have been lurking reading and such in the background. So to kind of poke myself out of that I wanted to show pictures of the newest smoker I have added to my collection.
I bought it from a friend, and he bought it from a guy that had used this for years for his catering business (something I am looking into doing with it as well). It is a custom made smoker that from what I am told cost the guy $5000 just to get the smoker itself built and then he bought the trailer separate.
It needs to be sandblasted and repainted with heat resistant paint. Also needs the deck replaced in the next couple of years as it is starting to show some age. Also a lot of the pieces need to get a good healthy spray down with WD40 to help loosen them up.
Trailer 17' Long smoker is 12' long can fit 80-100 Boston Butts in there. Sunday I am going to be doing a big catering for the wife's office (they work nights) so I am going to test it out.
I need to get more temp gauges mounted. I want to put one in the right door and I think the left one might be off a little bit. I was trying to think of locations for some other ones with possible putting two in each door.
Comments, suggestions?
I bought it from my buddy for $1500 with the stipulation that he can use it for one event a year.
