New smoker-- what type fish

What type fish is best and what kind of fish just don't work out?

I smoke virtually 100% Salmon only due the having it so readily available.

I have heard that oily fish smoke best. I had smoked white fish but none here to catch. How does other fish work out like pike, walleye, crappie, ect. Thanks Roy

Crappie isn't bad tasting but not much meat on it. I wouldn't waste a good walleye for the smoker...White bass are pretty good if you get them in cold water.
