looking to upgrade from my small Cajun injector electric smoker to a bigger homemade electric to be able to make larger batches. mainly cooking sticks, jerky, bacon, ring bologna, summer sausage, and other snack type meats.

I plan to build it with a large metal box that will be insulated rough size guess of 5' tall 3' wide 3' deep.

below is link to heat source i am considering as well as a Plug and Play controller that is recommended for that heater. please give me any input or suggestions you have as this will be a big build and i want to do it right.

thanks in advance

Why do you want to do one home made? I'm just curious.

for the size of smoker I am looking to do I guess I figure it would be more cost effective. I don't know of a electric smoker of that size that isn't very expensive. If anyone has any smokers in mind please post link to them.

thanks
