My father in law and I decided to build a dedicated cold smoke house for smoking deer sausage. This house will have to stay outside so we chose smart siding to cover the outside. With smart siding being similar to osb im now questioning that decision as far as safety due to the chemicals & glues used to make that product.. With that said, we had planned on covering the inside with cedar, maple or even aluminum or tin. Would covering the inside be safe or do we need to start over and build a cold smoker entirely from an untreated material?
Tried to attach a photo showing the material & the stage in which we stopped before continuing.
Thanks
