New Q cook from FL

Discussion in 'Roll Call' started by cody0707, Jul 19, 2013.

  1. Hello everyone. I have been prowling around on this forum for a few days now. Now it's time for me to come out of the shadows and ask some questions. I grew up here in the south and am no stranger to eating good Q but I am very new at cooking it. I built my first smoker earlier this month using a Weber Smokey Joe grill and a 32qt steamer pot. It does a great job and is perfect for cooking Q for the family. I have only done 3 cooks on it so far a picnic roast, 2 loin ribs, and a Boston butt. All of it came out very tasty and can't wait to see how I improve as I gain knowledge and experience.

Here is a picture of my built smoker, the mini wsm
