New mes40 damaged in shipping

Got a hot deal at Walmart.com and the mes40 was delivered to my house via FedEx today. I was all excited until I noticed a big crease in the door at the latch. It won't latch or seal.

Now I just need to decide to either return to Walmart or file a claim with fedex.

If I did do a claim I wonder what the chances are I get compensated for the smoker but get to keep it? If so I think I could take door apart and fix it or get another door

Walmart may do the same thing. My places I buy stuff from do not want the damaged goods back costs them too much in shipping. I'd call Walmart.
