Hey group thanks for adding me to the group. Ive been using a masterbuilt electric smoker for a couple of years now. Ive made some fantastic ribs, pork bellys, some good and some terrible jerkys...lol..always interested in learning more tips and tricks. I am in northern Canada and have definitely had to figure out the quirks to smoking in sub zero temperatures. Still trying to perfect chicken but thats part of the fun. Happy smoking

Welcome from Oklahoma, USA.  I mostly use a Smoke-it #2 Electric all winter, but I would not want to deal with your temps.

I have smoked chicken a few times in the electric, but we like the skin crispy, so I smoke it on the gas grill throwing a few chunks in the bottom.  Be sure to use the Search in the upper right corner, some people miss it..  Great group of helpful people here.  Enjoy and share.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a warm cloudy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of                  great people with tons of information on just about everything

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have really enjoyed this site so far and you have been very welcoming. Ive been curing some maple bacon to try on the smoker but the temperature forcasted is minus 30c and its too hard to keep a constant temperature with wind in those temperatures. Maybe next week...lol
