New member in North Pit, Fl.

Hello everyone.
Just joined up so no hazing or jumping in of the new member. North Pit is in Sarasota county but real close to the town of Pork Char-o-lotte. I’m smoking and grilling on a modded 22” Weber kettle and a 26” kettle with SnS XL. Looking forward to learning new tricks, tips and recipes to try.

Welcome aboard slick, I still use my 22" kettle for some of my smaller smokes. Just can't beat a kettle's versatility. Someday a 26er is in the plans. What kind of mod's have you made.

I think over half the members on here have a Weber kettle.
That's what I started with, and still use especially for wings!

My 22” is an 05 OTS. I added ss grate, 10” wheels, ash catcher and slide-aside lid holder. No SnS yet but I did get some heavy ss baskets. New ash sweeps and beer can shims in leg holes took out the wobbles. She got new life and survived being crashed into by my Willy’s Jeep after a night of mud boggin’.
