Hello!  My name is Murray Stone and I live near Pigeon Lake, an hour south of Edmonton.  I happily used a Weber Smoky Mountain for 15 years or so, but it gradually disintegrated (mostly due to having been backed into by a visiting tradesman's truck some years back), so when Bradley digital 4-rack smokers went on sale for $100 off, I couldn't resist.  There's an upside and a downside to the Bradley.  The upside is you just set the temperatures and times for smoke and oven, and then there's nothing left to do until the food's done.  That's also the downside--no pleasant periodic fiddling or fussing necessary during the cooking.  Any locals out there who would like a few bags of natural charcoal?  I have some left...

Welcome fellow Canadian.

I live just across the border in Cranbrook and my brother lives in Mundare!

I have a Bradley and you can have just as much fun futzing around if you want to. After all, you need an excuse to tell She Who Must Be Obeyed that you are busy smoking!

There is a Canadian group on the forums you might want to check out.

I look forward to your posts.

Good evening and welcome to the site, I'll bet you wont have any trouble getting rid of your charcoal. Congrats on the new smoker.
