Checking in from Alvarado, TX.

We finally bought a house of our own, and I am free to start smoking and grilling regularly. My main weapon of choice is an Akorn kamado grill. I didn't go the commercial route and buy their smoke stone, instead I put a weber grate on the lower lips and put a stone pizza pan on it.

I also inherited a North American Outdoors grill with the house. It needs a bit if love, and will eventually be frankensteined into something much cooler.

Thanks everyone.

Got some more chicken smoking right now. Gonna practice on a beef shoulder roast I got on sale before I fire up a brisket.

The chicken was awesome- it even got great reviews from the guys at work even being microwaved in the break room the next day.
