Have a masterbuilt dual fuel from Home Depot. About 4 yrs old and the burner is now putting out orange and yellow flames.
tried
1. Removing and cleaning out burner, regulator. No cobwebs or trash found. Used air hose and small nylon brush inside.
2. Changed regulator.

still the same flame. Looking at just removing the burner and regulator set up and using a king kookier 6” low pressure burner and an adjustable regulator. Burner pictured, I already have a low pressure adjustable hose and needle valve setup.

anyone this would be over kill for the dual fuel or has anyone attempted it?
Thanks

Before you go too far I have a question for you. Is this a new propane tank? I dont get mine filled I just do the exchange usually. The past few years I have got a few "bad tanks" . they do exactly the same thing your describing. Ive had to take them back grab a different tank and all is good. I thought my burners were clogged up or something the first time it happens and a friend of mine said he had got some bad tanks before and to try a different tank. Sure enough thats what it was. If you have not tried a different tank I suggest trying that first

Awesome! I figured that could be at least part of the problem. Would have hated to see you go and buy something only to find out that was not the problem. Now we just need to see some good Q cooked on that thing!
