Hello all. My name is Keric and I am from South Mississippi, Biloxi to be exact. I have a New Braunfels El Dorado Smoker. I have been smoking different types of meats for a few years now and have the best luck with turkey and spiral cut hams. My fmaily has had me smoke a ham and turkey for every holiday since is started smoking so they must enjoy it. I know my golden retriever has never turned down a tabel scrap. I haven't had a chance to experiment with many fruit wood yet. I mostly use hickory, oak, or pecan because they are easier to come by down here. I have been able to get friends to bring me mesquite from Taxes and loved smoking with it. What else......I do have a tun of questions and hope to learn a few things here on this forum.

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. You should find plenty of ideas here for lots of things to smoke. Seems some of these people will smoke about anything including Cheetos

Hi Keric!

to SMF!!!

I have a "New Braunfels Black Diamond Barbecue Smoker" I have had it about 20 yrs or so.  The New Braunfels El Dorado Smoker is totally different that mine.  Do you have the Grande?

When you get a chance tell us your method of smoking a ham & q-view of your smoker,

al
