Just bought a new Louisiana Grill Competition LG smoker from Costco. Been in the market for a pellet smoker for a while and this was so big and impressive looking that my testosterone couldn't resist. I've been smoking for a few years using an electric smoker with okay results, but know I needed to smoke with wood for truly great bbq.

Only had the smoker for a few days and have baked a pizza and some bread. But I'm really looking forward to getting to know my smoker/grill combination and creating some great food. Will be asking lots of questions (not before searching first, of course).

If anyone else already has experience with this grill, any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Welcome to the site, I'm not one but there are plenty of pellet poopers on site to help you out. I have noticed that most augment their pellet smoker with a Amazn tube when using higher heat.

Thanks, Chris. I was wondering about that as I noticed at higher temps very little smoke is produced; just too darned efficient when burning those little pellets I suppose.
