New Meat Market in my neighborhood. Crazy Prices?

Ok folks I am tempted to try some of this Akaushi beef as we have never had anything above prime grade. I just discovered this meat market inside a local BBQ joint. Are these prices insane?

I've not heard of Akaushi. Our Sam's has Prime Ribeye and NY Strip for $10.99/lb. Cheaper than choice at Kroger.

Akaushi is another term for American Wagyu per a Wiki search.
When we want premium beef, American prime satisfies my wife for whole meat.

I've not heard of Akaushi. Our Sam's has Prime Ribeye and NY Strip for $10.99/lb. Cheaper than choice at Kroger.

Local Sam's hasn't been great on meat selections lately.
Picked up prime NY strip for $12.99/# at Costco today. Kicking myself for not getting a prime packer brisket at $2.67/#

Haven't been to Sam's in a month, going next week. Prime Packer $2.67 /#? Great price. There's a noticeable difference between the Prime NY Strip and the Choice by far. I've waited an hour for them to cut more if they were out in the meat case because it's so much better. But only 1 time. LOL.
