I don’t normally inject my pork butts, but just got done watching BBQ Pitmasters and they all like to inject, so I gave it a whirl. I used Kosmos rub and injection mixed with apple juice. Will update picks with finished product but here are the ones so far. The last picture in the foil tray is right before I wrapped.

Looks nice.
IIRC, the Kosmos injection has phosphate in it. Should be nice and juicy when pulled.

Looks great so far. Looking forward to seeing the final result as well as your comments on the injection. Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to the finish & your comments on the method you used!

Looks great from where I'm sitting! I've never wrapped or injected a butt, tho may inject one soon, be watching! RAY

Haven't injected a butt before with Kozmo's product or anything other than when I was brining a but for porkstrami, but the Honey Killer Bee is my girlfriend's favorite rub that I use. The Honey Chipotle is pretty good too, she just doesn't handle heat well at all.

The verdict is in and I will say this. I prefer my original way using my own rub and not injecting. When you look at the photos great color but the kosmos rub just did not give me the bark I wanted. The injection was good but not worth the money. The last photo is a pic of the one done last time much darker bark and that’s after being in fridge over night. I love the rub on chicken but not the pork will do it my original way next time. Just like to try new things once in awhile.
