Buddy told me about this forum, so here I am! Been processing meat for the family since a kid on the farm! Now showing the next generation what it takes to save some $$ and put good meat on the table, in the freezer and smoked/cured snack!

Looking to get a dedicated smoker set up. Want something to smoke up to 60 lbs at once for various recipes etc. Thinking along the lines of building it myself but may have a lead on an old fridge from the 50's that may follow me home if the condition is good enough to repurpose.

Welcome aboard. Be careful with the 50s refridge it may contain asbostos,

Chris
