Hello fellow Connoisseurs i am real new the smoker game... I am as the screen names says a WV Moonshiner and i love to eat real food that at one time walked or rooted in a pen or scratched around on the ground...iI have just started plans on building a smoker when I came across this Web Site and was very impressed with the members knowledge and mannerisms...I am sure I will be asking a ton of questions as I start to round up pieces for my build...

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "SMF User Guidelines" .....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per TulsaJeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Welcome from Canada.

This is a great place to learn about smoking. I only started smoking a year ago and I have learned so much here that it has really made smoking fun. There are lots of great posts, great people and friendly advice.

I for sure don't wanna break the rules so I will post pics as soon as possible... I have been looking at other builds and I like the reverse flow design but don't see how the fire box does not drag the ground when going over bumps when towing it...

Sorry I never said what it is I'm working with...5ft by 12ft homemade trailer and a 250 gal propane tank
