I love bacon, but I'm getting REAL tired of paper thin grocery stuff or over priced thick stuff. I have a good meat market nearby, and would like some information to get started on making my own.

There's also a section on cold smoked bacon

A number of us cure and smoke our own bacon. It's a fairly simple process.

Good catch! I didn't know they were separate
Only reason I knew was because I cold smoke mine.
Seems like I'm always finding new stuff... or finding stuff that I've forgotten was here lol!

I prefer dry brine cured and cold smoked.
I'm a lower sodium and no sugar bacon maker.
