Hello to all,  This is my first post to your great and informative site.  I am from Jim Thorpe, PA, married with two children and one grand child.  I've been a novice fan of smoking with a willing to learn more.  I just purchased Jeff's Rib Rub and Barbie sauce recipe's.  I can't wait to give them a try.  I also just purchased a Charbroil Big Easy infared cooker.  I made my first turkey in the infared cooker for Thanksgiving.  I was wondering if I could use Jeff's rubs in the infared cooker.  Well,  that's my story, I hope to learn from all the experience smokers out there.  Take Care,

Albino

albino,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

I to have bought Jeff's recipes and his rub with a couple of tweeks to make it suit my taste is my go to rub for just about everthing.
I have never used a Charbroil Big Easy infared cooker so cant help with the question about the rub in that one.
What I would do is try some chicken with the rub and see how it comes out. Chicken is cheap and if it comes out nasty then just toss it in the garbage. But to be honest I bet it will come out great.

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
Keep Smokin!!!
