Hi.   Picked up a Brinkman Smoke n Grill at a fleamarket for $5.   Got new grates and dishes for $20 online.   Don't think I did that bad.   Now,  I just need to learn how to use it.   I can cook over a fire with no problem,  now to cook with smoke.

Welcome aboard.  I recommend searching this site and others for tips and tricks for your cooker and you'll be on your way.  Brinkman's can have disadvantages that others have corrected thru simple modifications.  Advice from those who've been there done that will help your learning curve.

Hello and

to SMF - sounds like you got a great deal

Thinking of doing a pork butt for my first attempt.  Probably won't be for a while yet.  Going away this week,  and we didn't get to the butcher shop today,  so tomorrow is out of the question,  and work Tuesday.

I have a question on the Smoke n Grill mods.  Why put the legs on the outside?   It looks like the charcoal pan isn't too bad to get at.  Then again,  I haven't used it yet,
