Long time lurker, first time poster...

I have a MES that I love. I purchased it after reading reviews of it in this forum and that's how I found the forum. The amount of smoking knowledge on this forums is amazing. By reading all the tips on here I felt like a master smoker before my first smoke. Of course I came back to reality after my ribs turned out though and my pulled pork had no bark.

After a few more tries I started to get the hang of it. People now request I bring pulled pork to get togethers. I want to thank everyone here for all the great tips that gave me a huge head start with smoking. I can't wait to learn more and more.

Sorry, mate - although I have lived near U of IL for almost 20 years now, I bleed black and gold. I'm originally from Eastern Iowa. Old habits die hard...you know!

It's all in good fun though, I leave all of that at the door when I'm in this forum. Here, we are all fans of the same team: Awesome Que University

I am about 40 minutes from you. I am in Champaign. I will do my best to not hold being an Iowa fan against you.

I have a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker and a Mavrick remote thermometer. So far it seems to be all I need for pretty good que.

First off welcome to SMF. You already know how good the place is so I'm glad you came out of the darkness and saw the light. We are always glad to have new people here cause they might just look at things and little differant then we do and that always make for some really differant way to do things. When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...
