At our event we did couple weeks ago, there was a groomer that had rescue pups. This little one was picked up and put back down. I was watching and my wife was watching me. She said go see what breed. Went over there and its a 5 month old maltipoo female. So I asked if I could take her to show my wife. She held her for bout half hour and said here take her back. I asked the groomer what if nobody gets her? He said we try to rehome the pups as best as we can. I asked how much? He said just pay for her shot records of $125. Went back over to our site, kept watching and she wasnt being taken. My wife said here is the $ go get her....

Her name is jasmin. Our vet looked at her said she wont get much bigger.

Blackjack is just starting to accept her. He fixed so no pups.

Aw, so great she got a home! I love dogs but enjoy them through the dogs of others. I wont keep them anymore. I lost my last dog in a separation and divorce about 30 years ago. Couldn't take him away from the kids, things were hard enough for them. Poor Ranger would still lose his mind when he would see me when I came to pick up the kids till his death. Broke my heart.

Several months later, it occurred to me how easy cleaning my townhouse I moved in to was. No dog hair! I liked that, but also decided I didn't want to go through the loss of any more dogs.

I cannot go to a shelter, even just to visit and play and pet with the dogs, as much as I would love to...no way could I leave without one! Must...resist...

I saw somewhere, maybe a PBS show or something that the reason dogs go crazy when you come back, even if its been just a couple hours is that their instinct is to accept/assume when a pack member leaves and doesn't come back, that something bad has happened, like death. So when they see you, they are literally overjoyed that you are still alive!

Good on both of you . That girl is in for a great life . Rescues are the best and they know bad from good . She should soon rule the roost .

Ah good for you and your new puppy!! I love my dogs so much and they reciprocate tenfold

Way behind but just saw this. That is awesome, that pup is adorable. Please don't show momma, the two cats are enough. She would take one in a second.
