Hi.
I was told to come here and tell about myself and here I am.
I live in UC, a San Diego nieghborhood. I've got a small back yard but I've optimized the available space by building an outdoor kitchen and recently my wife bought me a WSM 18.5 for Fathers Day. My favorite smoked food is salmon and I eat alot of it.
I used to live on Mt. Palomar and wanted to have the 2nd brew pub in San Diego County (dates me). I have brewed alot of beer and built a 15 gallon pilot brewery in my back bedroom. Alas, with all the good beer brewed in the country today there is no longer need to home brew, but there is always need for smoked food.
I support P.E.T.A.; P.eople that E.at T.asty A.nimals
When I lived on Mt. Palomar I had a cheapy Brinkman and my friend that worked on fishing boats would bring me all the junk-fish discards plus a whole bunch of fresh-caught Albacore, so I've smoked a bunch of that back in the day. (before the internet)
Since 1986 I have been smoking 6 large turkeys per year on my Weber kettle
