I came across this smoker on our local classifieds. it appears to be a New Braunfels There's a couple of things I like about this over my SNP the smoke stack is on the end and it doesn't have a door on the end of the SFB just a Damper or Vent The only think I question is that the hole from the fire box to smoking chamber is level with the grate (I'm assuming the cooking grates are in the lower position)..

Does anyone have one of these and Have any comments on them???

There wanting $60 but I think thats a little High priced for the condition..

Sounds like you've answered you own question. They appear to be nice smokers. I might have bought one had I been able to find them.

In my opinion, you can't go wrong for $60. It doesn't look to be in horrible condition, just used. If you decide to buy it, you'll learn how to use it well. I DO NOT think it will be any better than your CharGriller though. The capacity concerns me as much as anything.

Bunk,
Not sure which model you are describing, but I have used a New Braunfels Bandera for quite awhile (offset firebox, vertical smoke chamber). I've got a buddy that uses a NB Black diamond. He positions the meat at the far end of the smoke chamber away from the fire box and used lava rock at the bottom to stabilize the temp. New Braunfels made some good stuff. The town has a great BBQ place too.
