Hi,
I recently purchased a 10" meat slicer and would like to ask, what and where do you all purchase to clean and lubricate your slicers?
Also, is there a safe way to remove and handle the blade when removing it for cleaning.
Thank you all.

I clean with 91% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. I have cast aluminum parts, bleach would oxidize.

70% would work but I almost always buy 91% - I clean my quartz countertops with it also when I want to sanitize them. If I'm going to be working directly on the countertops, which I rarely do but will occasionally, I don't want them cleaned with a countertop cleaner.

Cleaning my slicer blade scares the bee-jesus out of me every time. I have "cut resistant" gloves.

It will still cut them easily. I tested it without wearing the glove. The "cut-proof" are thicker and that also scares me. I might not get a good hold of it and drop the "Blade of Death" on my toe......

Slicer blades deserve respect. Take your time, move slowly, wash it on it's own, dry and put in a safe place IMMEDIETLY.

My food processor blade has cut me more than the slicer blade but that's just because I didn't respect it at the time.

Use gloves, hold it horizontal while cleaning so if it drops it will hit the flat rather than the sharp af edge, and continue enjoying a pretty amazing and useful piece of equipment for many years to come!!

I've had mine for like ~2.5 yrs. Still haven't felt the need to use the built in sharpener.
