Hello my name is Jason, I live in League City, TX. Just bought a 24" x 42" smoker. I have never tried to smoke anything before. I am only accustomed to grilling steaks or fajitas. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. If you are a complete novice then you should sign up for Jeff's online smoking course and gets his cook book. He does a great job of explaining everything.

Welcome to the board! Use the Search to look up your model/type of smoker and see what people do with them. If you're just starting, I suggest you smoke chicken pieces to get the hang of your rig before tackling something more substantial.

I bought mine in Houston from Pits by JJ.

Jason, lots of great people with lots of good info here. My advice is just don't be discourage if things don't turn out well the first few times you make something. I have learned patience is a great resource when it comes to smoking!
