Hello all,
I'm getting ready to smoke 4 - 8 lb. butts and forgot one MAIN thing. I don't have any apple or pecan pellets . I have oak , hickory , maple and cherry . Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated . Thanks Joe

I am a lover of oak.

Thanks guys I knew I could count on you fine folks here to help me out. I have only used hickory when I cold smoke my bacon but I think I may give it a shot on my butts .

I use a 1\3 each blend of hickory, maple and cherry. Sold as Pit Master's Choice by A-MAZE-N. One of the most popular pellets sold...JJ

I use Oak for everything . Mix in apple and hickory when I do hams and bacon .

Personally i love the cherry smoke flavor on anything you can smoke...

I use oak & hickory on everything, cause it is cheap & easy to get where I'm at.
