Its 18* and we have about 8" of snow on the ground. I planned on getting my GOSM going between 5:00 and 5:30am. after shoveling of my deck I tried to get the fire going and nothing happened. tried to warm up the regulator, still nothing. Could the hose be frozen? The LP tank slashes around.

Any sugestions?

Thanks,
Fritz

Yup thats the only one available right now. Just went back out to try again and gas was leaking out the regulator vent. Wonder if the regulator is shot?

Chances are there is moisture in the regulator. With moisture in the regulator then the diaphram inside is stuck if you hear and smell gas coming from the vent. You can remove the regulator from the grill and fuel source and heat it up inside slowly. If not take a hot towel and wrap around it. If the regulator can be taken apart then do so and check the operation of the diaphram.
If none of this works for you, you will need to get a new regulator.
Gas company's should introduce methanol into tanks to help this problem but with the exchange tank program who knows.

I am with ds7662. I think that your regulator is froze up. The gas co. always cautions people about keeping the regulators covered on the tanks that supply butane to our houses.

DS could probably confirm or refute this, but I also think that propane contains some moisture as well. You can get 'dirty" gas, that contains more than the usual amount, and this will condense out, freezing up in the reg, and orfices sometimes.
