Hey all, there is a Hobart model 210 for sale locally here for $75.

That's a damn good deal, right? This think looks like it could slice a Ford Escort

What questions should I ask the seller to see if it's worth the investment. For instance, these are older models - I don't think they are made now...however, it is similar to what a grocery store deli would use - so it might be worth it. Just curious as to what I should ask the owner before considering it.

Please let me know your thoughts!
Thanks,

Brian

I talked with the guy at the local Kroger store about the one they use, it is a different brand, and he said that it came with a blade sharperner that would sharpen the blade on the machine. You might ask if that one comes with a sharpener.

I had one of the cheaper ones that lasted about a year. Recently I purchase an older model (1979) HOBART with a sharpener and that is the best thing that i could have done. HOBART makes the best on the market. It slices through butts, roasts bacon, etc... like it's cuttin through butter. It's well worth the money to purchase the HOBART. The only draw back is that the HOBART is professional grade and you can tell it when you go to move it. Mine weghts about 70 lbs.
